Chile Friendship Force In-Bound Journey
Chile's In-Bound Journey is set for June 17-23, 2023. This is a great opportunity to help make this Journey shine!
Friendship Force San Francisco Bay Area is looking forward to hosting Ambassadors from Chile for our second in bound journey since the pandemic.
We will host 12 Chilean Ambassadors in our homes and show them the highlights of our communities and region.
This is the working agenda so far for the week June 17-23, 2023
Saturday, June 17: arrival at SFO 11:30 am
Sunday, June 18
11:30-3:30 --Welcome Party in Mission San Jose, Fremont , and Guided Tour, Mission San Jose in Fremont
Monday, June 19
9:30--Henry Cowell State Park -Redwood tour, nature center, lunch 1:30-- Roaring Camp train. Taking the train into the Redwoods at Felton, and visit Santa Cruz, then seeing the coast
Tuesday, June 20
10:00-4:00 -- Palo Alto, tour of Stanford's Hoover Tower, museums, and lunch!
Tour of Stanford University grounds by graduates of Stanford: Dave Rice, and Dave and Dee Gustavson. Ride to top of Hoover Tower to see and hear famous Belgium bells. See Cantor Art Museum and next door, the Anderson Museum of Modern Art. Then lunch hour.
There maybe some time for shopping at the Stanford Shopping Center nearby.
Wednesday, June 21
What a full day is planned! This is our day in the City and Sausalito, using public transit. California cable car, Muni, Presidio Tunnel Tops (presidiotunneltops.gov ), Golden Gate bus, ferry, and Bart.
More detail to come, but an exciting day as we'll see the Palace of Fine Arts; learn the history of the Golden Gate Bridge and visit the gift shop; and walk on bridge. Then we'll go to the SF Toll Plaza to take the Golden Gate bus to Sausalito, where we'll have a nice lunch near Sausalito Bay, followed by taking the ferry to the SF Ferry Building. We'll end this exciting day by taking Bart home.

Friday, June 23
Early departure and SFO. Must be there by 5:00AM for the 7:30 flight
