Keynote Speaker Joy Justus has been working with refugees through World Relief since 2012. She initially spent two years in Indonesia working in an immigration detention center providing assist-ance to refugees awaiting United Nations refugee processing. Upon moving back to the United States in 2014, she began working with local refugee resettlement through World Relief Sacramento. Her role is to mobilize the local community and church to welcome and develop relationships with refugees and immigrants. Joy holds a M.A. in Theology and Biblical Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Religious Studies from UC Berkeley.
