Niles Canyon Railway is a heritage railway, running through Niles Canyon between Sunol & the Niles District. The railway is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The railroad is operated and maintained by volunteer members of the Pacific Locomotive Association, which preserves, restores, and operates historic railroad equipment. Meet at Niles depot at 11 a.m. to park and get ticket. Train leaves at 11:20 a.m. If you prefer to carpool with RoseMarie, meet at her house (5188 Earle Street, Fremont) at 10:45 a.m. Call her at 510-793-5201 to indicate your plans. Deadline to register is September 5.

1 p.m. Train returns to Niles Depot. Eat ice cream in Niles and enjoy antique shops & plaza.
2.30 p.m. Silent Film Museum
3.30 p.m. Early dinner at The Florence Restaurant in Niles
Price is $45, which includes train ride, ice cream, Silent film Museum (one or two movies) and dinner in Niles.
